A Look Back at 2017

As 2017 draws to a close, lots of people are looking back and reviewing the “Best of” the year, or what have you.

Well, I’ve got nothing else to write about at the moment, so….

The day after the Inauguration, millions of women marched all around the country – and world – to protest, well, I think it was institutionalized misogyny. Samantha Bee gave some advice on continuing to resist:

Somewhere along the way, people decided it was time to take down statues of Confederate leaders (nothing on renaming schools or military installations, though). Neo-nazis rallied in Charlottesville to protest one of these removals:

Former FBI Director Robert Mueller was tapped to lead the investigation into the connections between Russia and the Trump campaign:

A hurricane obliterated Puerto Rico. It’s going to be a long, long time before the island recovers. If ever:

Trump used the “bully pulpit” of his office to bully and attack people.

He spent so much time on Twitter attacking people that when an employee at Twitter deleted his account, that person was called a hero.

The Republicans, still hating Obama and everything he stands for, tried again to repeal the Affordable Care Act. They failed:

But they did manage to ram through an utterly insane tax “cut” plan, just in time for Christmas:

Well, at least we had another awesome World Series to distract and delight us:
